Openly-Homosexual Presidential Candidate

When an aspiring, “married” and openly-homosexual presidential candidate (Pete Buttigieg) tries to isolate the sitting vice-president by saying, “It's time for us to move on toward a more inclusive and more humane vision of faith than what this vice president represents,” he has not-so-subtly declared war on biblical Christians everywhere.

The arrogance of Buttigieg’s words is staggering.

He claims to speak for all of society: “It’s time for us to move on.”

He speaks against biblical truth: “[We need] a more inclusive and more humane vision of faith.” That’s not even a political statement. It’s an assertion of what revealed truth “should” be.

He speaks against all biblical Christians who uphold the historic, traditional view of sexuality: “than what this vice-president represents.” In other words, the vice-president is simply a proxy for all those opposed to homosexual marriage and believe homosexuality is sinful based on biblical conviction. Buttigieg says society should leave us behind, marginalize us, and silence our voice.

I don’t believe Pete Buttigieg is a stupid or uninformed man. I believe he knows exactly what he’s saying.

He offers himself as the candidate to drive biblical voices out of society and to stigmatize men and women simply for their good-faith, conscientious beliefs that are in complete continuity with Scripture and thousands of years of human assumption and culture.

If he will say that now as an aspiring candidate against the sitting vice-president, imagine what he would do against those without political power if he ascends to office.

Of course, this is not new in public discourse.

But Pete Buttigieg is a dangerous man who is being praised and supported by the media.

Do not underestimate him.

Take note now before he gains even more steam.

And yet, my Christian friend, fear not:

“The LORD also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, A stronghold in times of trouble; and those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You” (Psalm 9:9-10).
